The Three Mice: When the Honey Jar Broke Their Friendship

In a lush green field, abundant with plants and food, three mice lived together in love and devotion until one day everything changed. Their bond of friendship turned to selfishness over a jar of honey. Why did things come to this for the three mice?

A warm, colorful cartoon illustration blending classic and modern styles, showing three little mice stuck inside a golden honey jar under a calm night sky in a green farm. Their funny, surprised expressions capture the moment they fell because of greed, creating a charming scene that carries a beautiful message about cooperation and sharing.

The Three Mice: When the Honey Jar Broke Their Friendship

In beautiful, vast green fields lived three mice together. Every day they would go out to gather food, and when darkness fell they would return to their dark and safe burrow.

One day, the farmer harvested all the corn, and food became very scarce, so much so that "the 3 mice" went out to look for food, but to no avail.

A plan to obtain food

One of them had an idea: "What do you think, my friend, if we go to that farmer's house and check where the corn grains are?"

The two friends liked the mouse's idea and they all went there. On the way, their stomachs were making noises because of hunger, as this was the first time they had been so cruelly afflicted by hunger.

The first mouse climbed onto the window to explore the place, while the other two mice looked right and left to see if the place was safe.

Golden Honey Jar

After the three mice were sure the place was safe, they found no corn kernels because the farmer had sold them all. By chance, the three friends stumbled upon a jar containing a few drops of delicious honey.

The jar is large and there is little honey at the bottom, so they must find a clever idea to get the honey or they will die of hunger.

The Promise of the Three Friends

After much thought, one of the mice suggested an idea: "What do you think, my friends, if we hold onto each other's tails, and I will go down first and eat my share, then you will all follow me."

The two mice welcomed their friend’s idea after they pledged that none of them would wrong anyone else, that no one would eat more than their share, and that the drops of honey would be divided among the three mice, no matter how few or many they were.

The mouse who came up with the idea went down to the bottom of the honey jar first, and the second mouse, who was supposed to go down after him, was holding his tail. Finally, the third mouse, who was the main support for them, would fall if he let go.

Why did the three mice fall into the jar of honey?

The first mouse said, "This is a very small amount, barely enough for me alone, so I don't think it's important for all three of us to eat."

The second mouse was holding his tail and thinking to himself: "What is this? If that greedy mouse starts eating the honey, he won't leave me anything! I must go down and get the honey myself."

The third mouse, however, was not without thought: "This honey is so golden; if these people start eating the honey they will leave nothing for me, so I must act immediately!"

At the same time, the three mice let go of each other's tails and fell into the jar of honey! Now they are looking for a way out of it.

The end of the story of the three mice

And so... the three mice found themselves at the bottom of the jar, fighting over the few drops of honey! As darkness fell, the mice remembered their broken promise.

Would they remember that cooperation was the only way to save them? Or would each of them remain thinking only of themselves until morning?
