The Merchant and His Daughter
Once upon a time, there lived a merchant and his beautiful daughter, whose name was Beauty. One day, the man decided to go out to buy merchandise to sell, and Beauty asked him to bring her a beautiful red rose.
The man set out on his journey, but suddenly a strong storm arose. He could not see anything ahead because of the storm’s intensity, so he got lost in the forest.
The Mysterious Castle
Beauty’s father began searching for a place to spend the night until the storm subsided. After a long search, he found an old castle and decided to enter it.
When he entered, he felt hungry and wished there were delicious food in front of him. Suddenly, a lot of food appeared on a large table. The man sat down and ate until he was full.
When he felt sleepy, he wished for a comfortable bed. He entered a bedroom and found a bed furnished with fine bedspreads.
The Enchanted Garden
The man slept until morning. When he woke up, he saw many beautiful roses in front of him and remembered his daughter Beauty, whom he had promised to bring a red rose.
He picked one of the roses, and suddenly a strange creature resembling a monster appeared before him. Its gaze was angry, and it said: I sheltered you in my castle from the storm, fed you the finest food, and let you sleep in my bed, and now you destroy my garden.
The man was frightened and said: I am sorry, sir. I promise not to do it again. This rose is for my daughter, Beauty.
The Beast’s Condition
From the name, the monster realized that Beauty was very beautiful. He said to the man: You must bring your daughter Beauty to me here in the palace, or I will harm you.
The man, terrified, promised to bring his daughter to the castle.
Beauty Meets the Beast
When the man returned home and told Beauty what had happened, she feared for her father. She gathered her courage and asked him to take her to the monster’s castle.
Beauty went to the castle, and when she entered, she found no one. She wandered in the garden among the roses and suddenly saw someone standing with his back to her.
She asked: Who are you? Are you the monster who threatened my father?
The monster replied: I am sorry for that. I am lonely, and my face is very ugly. I do not want you to see it.
Beauty said kindly: Do not worry. I will accept you as you are.
When the monster turned toward her, she felt afraid, but she quickly gathered her strength.
Growing Feelings
Days passed, and Beauty became used to the Beast. The Beast also grew very attached to her and began to think of marrying her, but he did not tell her, fearing to hurt her.
Every day, Beauty checked on her father through the Beast’s magic mirror. One day, she saw that her father was very ill and asked the Beast to let her visit him.
The Beast said: I am afraid you will not return.
Beauty promised: I will come back in two days.
The Beast replied: I will allow you a whole week, but if you do not return, I will die of grief.
The Broken Promise
The Beast allowed Beauty to visit her father for one week. She stayed with him until he recovered, and he urged her not to return to the Beast. Suddenly, she realized she was late.
Beauty hurried back to the castle. When she arrived, she searched everywhere for the Beast. Finally, she found him lying in the garden, holding the rose she had given him.
The Curse Is Broken
Beauty felt deep regret and realized that she loved him. She began to cry, and when her tears fell on the Beast, a bright light appeared.
The Beast transformed into a handsome prince, and the guards and servants returned to their true forms.
The prince said: Thank you, Beauty. You have saved me and the people of my kingdom.
He explained that an evil witch had cursed him and that only true love could break the spell.
The True Meaning of Beauty
The prince married Beauty, and she became a queen.
True beauty lives in the heart, not the face. Never judge someone before you truly know them.
